Ghibli movies?

Anyone on here with a TiVo-type thing recording those Ghibli movies I posted about that also has a way to put 'em on CD or DVD or something? I would LOVE YOU FOREVER if I managed to end up with a copy of Whisper of the Heart (showing this Thursday) and Only Yesterday and Pom Poko (showing next Thursday).

You work in a media library! Sneak off to watch movies in five-minute intervals!

I'm very happy you posted this, as I missed your earlier post and I do have a VCR and am gleeful to discover I have TCM as well. Unfortunately tapes only hold 8 hours so I'm going to have to do some quick-speed tape-changes in between movies and maybe stay up to ungodly hours of the night.

I own a copy of Whisper of the Heart with subs as well as ONly Yesterday and you are more than welcome to borrow them. Pom Poko is something I don't have and I'm sure I can get you a copy of.

DVD/CD or VHS? 'Cause I own an Only Yesterday on VHS, but with no VCR, it doesn't do me much good. :D

In theory, I can make a dvd from a VHS. In practise, sometimes the dvd-r balks.

I've got a friend who can do it, too. Provided that the tape is of high enough quality - my third-generation copy of a fansub for Only Yesterday made his software barf. :D
