Mello would like to assure you that he REALLY DOES have some sort of complicated, devious, THOROUGHLY LOGICAL plan in place that ABSOLUTELY REQUIRES that knowledge.

Really.

I know, really, that he's covering up his face to guard against Kira, but you'd think that one of the primary ways of guarding against Kira would be to NOT TAIL PEOPLE CLOSE TO AND SUSPECTED OF BEING KIRA WHILE WEARING BLACK LEATHER WITH SILVER STUDS HEAD TO TOE.

Maybe Mello is using reverse psychology? He appears REALLY noticable and people just can't believe what they saw so they block it out. Or maybe by emulating a baby leather daddy he hopes people will politely look away?

His mind must be deep because I cannot fathom it.

You know, no matter how much Mello yammers on about wanting to get Kira and to beat Near, I have to suspect that his real motive is to get Mogi away from Aizawa.
