W40K vs. AI
Have you ever wondered "What would the results be if
telophase trained a text-generating AI on Warhammer40K novel descriptions?"
Working on a newly trained AI...you know, not having read more than a small chunk of W40K novels, it's actually quite hard to tell if the stuff it produces is generated or, like, normal. Until the grammar and wording go to hell. In my experience, the AI does cough up verbatim chunks of descriptions every so often, and since I'm not familiar enough with them to tell without searching my dataset (and I'm so not going to bother doing that), I can't tell you how much of the below is from the actual novels and how much isn't.
It does realize that W40K is a science fiction franchise and periodically goes off on Star Wars or other franchises.
CONCLUSION: This experiment pretty much proves my hypothesis: that Warhammer 40K is already the perfect parody of itself.
NEXT EXPERIMENT: Training an AI on a dataset that includes W40K and Zoe Chant novel descriptions.

Deathwatch: Dark Angels
A Deathwatch novel
Vive la Death: The Emperor Defends is a unique and endearing story told through the eyes of one of the Deathwatch. The heroes of the Deathwatch Fallen are immortal souls who are duty bound to protect the Imperium of Man. When an Imperial Fists kill Solemn, the son of Biscuit, a hero's captive of the Imperial Fists, will Anvil come to seek vengeance, the heroics of the novel are a living example of how an entire galaxy should be made stronger by him." ―Peter Cushing
The story drops immediately following the publication of the eBook edition, with the Deathwatch embark on a long-awaited and highly entertaining visit to the ancient citadel of Lord Carnbuser, where all is seemingly lost.

A Primitive Bloodbook by Chris Wraight
Holy shit, did I do this before the events of the first three novels in the series? [NOTE: This is a sentence it actually produced]
It's like nothing else from Warhammer, save for the fact that if you don't do enough, things will turn out horribly.
Can You See the Sun?
I'll never forget the day I was completely completely completely pulled from the story of Warhammer 40,000. The events of the previous novels (and novellas) took their toll, and the mood was almost too much for me, but for the constant ting-ting of the novels by, well, tings, that was a significant step forward for me.
READ IT BECAUSE: It's everything you could ever want a Warhammer 40,000 story to be about, from the surprising beginnings of a new political power, to a deadly rebellion, and much more. It's a must read.

Nothing will ever convince me it wasn't designed that way.
