batkittens!

"I put my microphone in front of a 7 week old baby red squirrel."

In other news, last week I wrote a card to my 2.75 year old nephew, and his parents report that he was thrilled to receive mail of his very own, enough that when his grandmother came over, he grabbed the card and showed it to her, saying "[hisname] letter!".

Obviously, this means I need to keep sending him mail. Those of you who are familiar with talking to 2.75 year olds, what subjects would keep them interested in a letter? In the first (beside putting stickers all over it), I talked about D.Va, and how she hid behind the couch when anyone knocked on the door. I also talked about the Japanese fox statue on the front of the card (it was a photo I took in Japan), although his parents report that he kept insisting it was a dog, not a fox. (I think he still calls all quadrupeds dogs at this point, but it does look like a dog.)

Those tweets are adorable.

I suspect that your nephew will enjoy anything that has his name on it. Much like the box that the present comes in is as enjoyable, if not more, than the contents. ;)

I think it'd depend on what the 2.75yo likes otherwise? Some kids like the recurring garbage-collection truck; some kids like seasonal change (trees losing leaves); most kids like construction and/or demolition. Strong visuals, as in your prior letters, are definitely good, IMO.

Stickers sound great, and the frog moment sounds like a win. More interesting to find out what he thinks if you're not in a hurry--and better for him to practice having opinions, seriously.

So depends on the kid. (At that age, one of mine needed me to vet books first to make sure there were no "icky pop-ups" in them--ugly )distorted) or scary images. The other fazoomed straight for monsters or weird stuff.

Generally: bright colors, images, items kids have an interest in--animals, other kids, toys, things in nature.

Animals are good, also quotidiana that he can understand, like eating, getting dressed, going for walks and what you saw, things you drew. Silly things!
