And the somewhat more finished version of the ladies from yesterday...
New head on #3! I had to try about 10 heads before I found one where I liked the age and expression of the model. And I've gone through and done pretty much all the fiddly bits except for the final color adjustments, because those are going to depend on the rest of the pictures.
I may decide to flip one of them horizontally so as to make it not quite so obvious that the renders are based on the same 3D model in the same pose (i.e. look at the elbows on all of them) with different clothes, hair and props.
Kinda wish one of the models was a darker skin color, but there's a limit to how far I can adjust the colors before they start looking weird. With Ms. Middle, the face came from this model, and I played with the colors on the skin and face to get them to meet somewhere in the middle, as dark as I could get without going into weird territory. Which kind of turned her Native American (well, helped by the braids...), so I'm happy about that at least.
I'm going to have to figure out where the original 3D artist got their models and props, because they're way better than the DAZ stuff I mostly use (which is, to be honest, entry-level 3D), and see if I can get anywhere near that level of light and texture.
edit: HAAAAAA I FOUND MS. MIDDLE'S HAIR ON DAZ! It's also using this extension, I believe. And I think that this might be Ms. Left's double-barrelled flintlock! (Which means that the person may actually have done the renders in DAZ!) But even if it isn't, there's some nice but cheap flintlocks over on CGTrader right now during their sale, so maybe I'll see if I can get some. We'll see.
