Layout update

Not that anyone really cares about my LJ layout, but I just changed it since the previous one kept having problems with something-or-other in random friends' entries making the page die - until the offending entry aged off the page, I couldn't read anything that anyone had posted after it.

Anyway. It's a new, very simple layout (which I like), featuring emogoth!Mello. "Cranky monkeydaddy," with its oblique reference to Sanzo, is now even less appropriate as an LJ title, so anyone who can think of any oblique reference suitable for Mello, let me know.

Okay! Now off to finish that thing that I'll hopefully be announcing somewhere around November that my friendslist already knows about, and then to color the other thing that I've been working on that's so far looking SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET and I hope I don't screw it up in the colors!

The thing I'm coloring on? It's a new filter. :D It's the thing that rachelmanjia and I are working on, and I made the filter yesterday to encompass a small number of people who can give me crit or whatnot as I post stuff-in-progress. Not that the thing which what I am coloring on is the stuff I need crit on, and once it's colored it'll be posted publicly anyway - hopefully tonight. If you wanna be on that filter, I can put you on, but after today it'll mostly be scratchy stuff and probably me whining. :)

Oh, I see. Heh, No big deal, then; it's just that I'd seen previous posts about this project, and when I saw a mention of a new post but it wasn't showing up on my flist, was just wondering if I'd gotten taken off.

:D No prob. I think I'd been posted under the Butterfly Kick filter or just the generic friends filter previously, and after whining that I needed an externally-imposed deadline, Rachel suggested I create a new filter for it because having people wanting more always makes me work faster. And I picked a small group who had showed willingness to, essentially, beta for me before.

So no big drama-type thing. XD

It's simple but so reader friendly....Sometimes people create very complex and colorful lj layouts that it's only good to see, but not to read. You accomplished both....good to see...nice to read ....Go tu XD

I have been re-watching/reading "Fruits Basket" all weekend and your icon has now just about killed me. KYOOOU AND DAAAADDYYY WAAAAHHH.

Fruits Basket is just the best manga I have read...and your icon is Naruto, one of my fav mangas/animes as well....Last chapter (279) is so sweet with that scene between Gaara and Naruto...It's my favorite Naruto chapter ever!!!

Naruto, Fruits Basket, and Saiyuki are the series pretty much guaranteed to have me laughing my ass off and crying by the end of each volume. It's why they're my absolute favorites.

The scene with Naruto and Gaara is so lovely. They're such marvelous characters to play off each other. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I optimized it for viewing-at-work. XD Except for Mr. Mello there, it's now a bit harder to look over my shoulder and see that I'm goofing off online instead of Doing Research.

It may drive me crazy and I may put them back shortly, but we'll see. :D

Ooo. I like it a lot. I'm not usually one for the completely minimalistic layouts, because I often find them to be extremely difficult to browse. They're usually too much the same, and I find my eye wandering. I love what you've done with yours, though. I don't have that same trouble in the slightest.

Thanks! I think I'd like it better if there were a little line or soemthing separating each entry, but it's decently readable as is. And unless there's a giant quiz result featured, it's a bit harder for someone walking by the ref desk computer to see that I'm surfing LJ. XD
