Knives Out

We saw Knives Out last weekend, and agree with all the people who said it was good, but I do feel the need to warn any emetophobes that you do not want to watch it.

(What is it with recent movies and hurling characters?)

You'll probably want to watch it with someone who's seen it before and can warn you/tell you what you missed--a main character can't lie because it makes them throw up.

I'm really good with the thirty second leap/FF button--as soon as I see a character looking nauseated, I skip.

IIRC the character does look pretty frantic before it happens, so you should have warning.

It's one of the main characters, too. There's so much fantastic about the movie, I'm bummed on the behalf of everyone triggered by it. :/ (I can't deal with it in real life, but written descriptions and non-explicit screen depictions don't bother me very much.)

Ouch, I hate bodily fluids. Maybe it'll play better on a small screen. :)

It should, I think? I don't think you see any fluids, but you do see the character being nauseated and convulsing, and you hear it. Each instance is not very long, so I could just look away, but OTOH I'm not really triggered by it on screen, just in real life.

UGH. I appreciate the warning; I will not go see it in that case. Which is a shame because I heard it was really good! Sigh sigh. But seriously, thank you.

Yeah, it's otherwise really good, and they wind it into the story, but GAH.
