Friend came over this weekend and we worked on Project.
A podcast about bad books that I listen to (I Don't Even Own a Television) had a patron-only episode on Riverdale where one host, who loves it, made the other host watch 3 episodes (one from each of the first 3 seasons) and this show is bonkers. So bonkers, in fact, that
myrialux and I watched the first two episodes on Sunday, boggled at them, and immediately planned to watch more during one or the other of our designated Date Nights (Sunday evenings--previously British Murder Mystery Shows Night--and every other Tuesday). Not only is the show totally bonkers, but it's so rapidly paced that stuff just keeps happening every couple of minutes.
Am also gearing up on a cover painting that will be eating every spare moment for the next two weeks that is not Thanksgiving. We're hosting, but we're also buying the entire dinner, and us hosting means that the in-laws all come over here for part of the day and then they all LEAVE because
myrialux's parents wish to spend the night in the house that contains their grandchild, which means I get a three-day weekend to focus on the painting.
We're also watching The Mandalorian, havingsold our souls dropped the money on the 3 years of Disney+ deal because of the Star Wars and Marvel content, plus various bits of the Disney Afternoon for nostalgia on both our parts. We both rather like it, and that's extra-good for me because No Longer Seekrit Fandom Identity needs something besides Rebels to fangirl over for the May the 4th exchange.
And on Sunday we went to a local theatre's production of The Lifespan of a Fact, a comedy about a writer, an editor, and a fact-checker who throws a giant wrench into the works. It was good.
