An actually productive weekend, for a change. Friday night was spent being deliberately un productive, as we went to the sushi restaurant that makes cocktails so strong that one knocks me on my ass for the evening. So I spent the evening happily buzzed and watching YouTube videos with Toby, and drinking enough water to not have a headache the next day.
Saturday morning involved attempting to medicate Sora with anti-anxiety meds--he was Very Suspicious of every tasty treat we presented him with, so I don't know how much, if any, got into him--then stuffing him into his carrier and taking him to the vet to get his blood drawn for a battery of tests. Nothing serious--we just noticed him drinking a little more water than usual, and as that was Nefer's first symptom of renal problems, a few years ago, we decided better safe than sorry.
Then we headed out to the local Junior League's ginormous holiday market and managed to do 75% of the Christmas shopping for the family (what am I going to do with my October and November now?) while dodging very, very Texan ladies--long blonde perfectly waved hair, fixed smile, fitted jeans, boots.
After that I spent the afternoon and evening wrestling with DAZ3D until it produced a Thing that I deemed acceptable and set to render overnight.
Sunday was mostly turning the Thing Final Render into a painting that I am actually quite proud of, but I cannot show to anyone because it is a Thing that Not-Very-Seekrit Seekrit Fannish Identity has done for an upcoming fanworks exchange.
Then we went to a local theatre that was showing a 40th anniversary showing of the original Alien, and were quite pleased at how well most of the special effects held up.

myrialux game until it was time to go to bed because all that was quite enough Doing and Accomplishing for one weekend. And then I discovered that I'd sold another cover on one of the premade cover sites I sell on, so yay.
