GREAT NEWS EVERYBODY!
Great news from the yard and the birdcam, folks!
HERA'S BAAAAAAAACK!!
Well, as far as I know that's Hera, or Hera Jr, or Hera III, or maybe even Faux Hera, Zeus' second mate, but all that aside, there is a female cardinal in our yard!
Now if she starts fighting the cardinal in the window, we'll know it's truly our Hera.
The rest but one are all doves, because the big feeder is currently empty, so there was a huge dove scrum in the tiny feedercam bowl all morning.
Very interested in the feedercam.
This one is not a bird. This one is a Nefer. Nefer looks like Elvis because she is missing an upper fang on that side and her lip occasionally gets hung up on her lower fang.

Poor Nefer! My cat used to do that. Though she couldn't pull off the Elvis bit.

Sora's missing both upper fangs, and his lips get caught on them so he frequently looks as if he's got something awful in his mouth, or like he's eating peanut butter, as he settles them properly.
