I shall grab a copy or two for you! I ended up using An Alphabet of Interstellar Travel, even though I reeeeeally wanted to put The Battle of Candle Arc in, because I couldn't justify the page count. XD But Alphabet made the book come out to 36 pages even, which is nicely smaller than last year so we saved, like, $125 or so on it.
You're involved in ConDFW, Seanan McGuire is guesting at ConDFW, my LJ is pretty much just "ConDFW! Yay! (and argh! But also yay!)"... And I am nowhere near that part of the world! So sad! :<
One day I'll crack my anxiety, not having a passport, and lack of general spending money to finally tour America and see all the old friends I want to (and creepily stalk authors on book tour/ con guesting :q)! I sometimes think of it, but then the media is all "no, horrific-murder-thing!" or I imagine my government not letting me back in to the country afterwards because I'm poor and they've revoked my citizenship in an austerity cost-cutting measure...
That being said, I live in a metroplex with a giant international hub airport and we have a spare bedroom that I promise will have only background levels of radiation soon! Anytime you want to drop by, let us know!
Heh! In the last few months I've been hearing an awful lot of shocking news about all the murders and shot-by-police stories coming from the typical UK town near Cambridge that I finished growing up in (quite aside from the ones in Cambridge itself), so I'm never going to seriously throw that stone first.
Thank you for the kind offer of only nominally irradiated crash space, I'm ever hopeful one day I'll be able to take you up on it. :) Though I'd probably feel terribly guilty if/ when Sora ran away from Strange New Person and then hid until I left. XD
Oh, and I hope the con goes as smoothly as possible after all your hard work. :)
Sora runs from everyone! Including me and Toby at times! If he gets hungry and people are relatively quiet, he'll come out and skulk along the edge of the room. Nefer, on the other hand, will come out until she's had enough of people, and then leave.
Thanks! So far we've been having the typical tiny crises that one has before a con, so hopefully they're the only ones we have.
