Via Metafilter: Splain It to Me, describing a common conversational dichotomy in the clash between those expecting a "harmonious emotional experience" and those expecting "information sharing." (reminiscent of Ask vs. Guess culture.)
ETA: Good comments in the MeFi thread linked above, which is really more what I'm pointing out than the article itself, like where does the line between *splaining and culture clash lie.
