FEROCIOUS KILLER WEARS VICTIM'S SKIN

Well, ok, so it's a cat in a plush monkey suit. But it's got an awesome "So this is my life now" face.

That is so very disturbing.

The disturbing part to me is how it's so resignedly licking the banana.

If I could've gotten one of my cats of the past into those outfits, I'd expect to be "accidentally" smothered to death in my bed that night.

I love the other cat licking it in a "what even is this?" way. Or maybe it's trying to be comforting: "I'll still touch you even when you're wearing this."

We once got Sora into a small T-shirt, at the advice of our vet, who suggested that cats can sometimes calm down when swaddled, like the Thundershirt. Instead, Sora slunk away as fast as possible, then got his foot stuck in the shirt and huddled in a small heap on the bathroom floor, crying pathetically, until we got it off him.

Awwwww.

Slyczna was fine with pretty collars, including a velvet bowtie for Christmas and a red leather collar studded with rhinestones the rest of the year, but all the others hated stuff like collars, leashes, or clothing. We would buy the "merciful release" collars so they wouldn't get hung up on something and choke the cats, and the cats all figured out how to get them to release and take them off! One of our outdoor cats wouldn't bother taking her collar off but would pin the bell between her leg and chest so it wouldn't ring as she stalked prey.

And 2016 is the year of the monkey.
