So remember a bit back, when I posted about learning that peace lilies were drama queens? It happened again, and I got photos this time.

I left work on Friday without giving the Sergeant any water, intending to water him Monday. Naturally I get a two-day migraine, and when I get back today, he is all swoony, practically fanning himself and saying "Well, I swan!"



Honestly! Wouldn't you look at that and say "That is soon to be a dead plant"?



So I go fill up a plastic cup with water and dump it into his pot, then spray his leaves with my small sprayer for good measure, and not THREE HOURS LATER, this happens:







Standing at attention, ready to molest anyone who walks through my door!

I did not expect the plant to have a personality!

I also did not expect hm to get that big that quickly--I think he' sat the upper range of peace lily size--and may have to rearrange things so he does not actually grope everyone who comes n the door.

I know! XD My husband has a small plant in his cube--I forgot what it was, but it's one of those low-light tropical ones, and it doesn't change. It's had a somewhat-flower-looking thing on it for almost six months now (no, it's not a fake plant!), and all it does is sit there. I wasn't expecting DRAMA IN THE OFFICE, just something that would brighten the place up.

I keep a couple of Snake Plants (they have about a thousand names, but this (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sansevieria_trifasciata) is the one I have) in my house, and they do the same thing! I'm constantly thinking they're dead, but a little water and they look good as new in a few hours.

And my computer is going mad with needing so were upgrading the OS to El Capitan to try and do an end-run about it, so I don't think I can get to it tonight. :/
