Nifty thing of the day

18th century journeyman cabinetmaker wrote a letter and concealed it in a writing cabinet he built. The letter was discovered in 1967, but wasn't translated and studied until 2014.

That was really cool. I love it when we get glimpses of the past like this. It makes me wonder what sort of an impact our billions of billions of blogs and tweets will have on the job future historians do, assuming that we'll still be able to access them all in hundreds of years time.

Edit: I have no idea why my message is breaking weirdly today. Oh well.
