So here's a thing
The aisle of books I usually walk down at work to get to the exit door is currently filled mostly with American Literature. And Kerouac is shelved right at eye level. Jack Kerouac's Book of Sketches is the book on the end of the shelf, and there is a call number label slapped over the title on the spine that covers the KETCHE in SKETCHES.
and so my brain always interprets that as Jack Kerouac's Book of Shadows. Make of that what you will.
P.S. Just came down off a 3-day migraine, but not a bad-as-in-painful one but a bad-as-in-can't-look-at-a-screen-for-long one so I got a lot of housework done and not much work work done. Bah.
