LEEKS!
So here is Toby, DWARFED BY LEEKS.

BUT WAIT, I hear you say! (Yes, I hear you through the internet.) YOU ARE HOLDING THE LEEKS CLOSE TO YOU WHILE TOBY IS ACROSS THE ROOM! THIS IS NOT AN EXAMPLE OF GIGANTIC LEEKS, BUT OF PARALLAX!
Well, in that case, I present you with this...

THOSE ARE STILL SOME BIG LEEKS.

Have you ever made porrata? It is leek and bacon pie held together with eggs. If you are a leek fan, you want to try that one. (I have a recipe for leek and roquefort tart around here somewhere too.)

Nope, haven't had porrata.
(Alas, most cheeses and I do not get along, as even the slightest bit of funk does not work for me. I stick to the bland cheeses that are strongly sour: mild cheddars, Monterey Jack, mozzarella, etc.)

We ended up finding a Leek, Potato, and Bacon Bake which was fine, though not spectacular. (Bonus, though, is that Toby's getting another wisdom tooth out today, and we can just blend the leftovers and add chicken broth, milk, or cream to produce an acceptable potato-leek soup if he wants it.)

Anyway, moving on... Is that a Star Trek themed apron?
