That surprised me! I knew they ran pretty fast, because my dad, a wildlife biologist, once chased one down and caught it in order to lecture me about it. (I got a lot of wildlife lectures because he couldn't ever quite turn the professor off.) It got its revenge, though: a hind claw took out a chunk of his thumb as he was holding it up by the tail.
When my mom lived out in the country, there was an armadillo that would come dig holes in the leaf litter and dirt near the front porch on its search for bugs and grubs. Mom's cat would go outside, carefully sniff each hole, then pee in it and cover it up!
Yeees, it did! He says "thanks!" And he spotted the confetti warning before he opened it. XD
He did say "Did you get someone else on Fiverr to send me something?" when I got home, as I'd gotten someone to send him a postcard from Japan via Fiverr.com, so I had to admit that mmmaybe there might be something up in LJ-land. :D
