(no subject)

Eyelash stuck in eye most of day, slightly scratched eye, watered like mad all day resulting in demented appearance and inability to do much of anything. Finally managed to get eyelash out, eye feeling mostly better, although still slightly scratched, so no current need to visit doctor (had kitten scratch cornea once, so have some expereince and judgment with this sort of thing).

Pronoun use has not yet returned, however. Send help.

Oooh, ow, sympathy is expressed. Sleeping with a nursling can cause similar problems, as a baby hand flung about in sleep can end up with a fingernail going under an adult eyelid and scratching the cornea. The emergency visit to the opthamologist produced little result, as waiting it out seems to be the preferred method. Patching to keep eye closed plus some antibiotic goo was applied, but consensus was that simply keeping the eye mostly closed was just about as good.

Hm, the grammatical environment seems to be contagious. Afraid help unavailable from this source.

*winces* Yeah, that happened to a good friend of mine, when his baby daughter sank her wee little nails into his cornea. Ow. Eyepatch is a good idea.

Last time cornea scratched was via mother's new kitten, which was sitting on shoulder and, as learned to much despair, fascinated by the movement of eyelashes. Ouchie. Saw double for a while.

Got antibiotic goo and instructions to return if seeing-double showed up again, but everything healed fine.

Pronouns still missing. Sending out APB. Feel like composing long-winded telegraph STOP

Did not experience seeing double in conjuntion with corneal scratch. However, have regularly experienced it from childhood due to genetic factors, wear special glasses to prevent same.

Agree with telegraph imagery stop process definitely contagious stop have you seen Sub Rosa Holmes fic (http://www.livejournal.com/users/prof_pangaea/115264.html) query

Sorry, can't help from this quarter. All available pronouns already shipped to hurricane-ravaged areas along Gulf Coast.

Might want to send surplus eyelashes, too. *g*
