uuuuugggggghhhhhhhhh

Woke up at 5:30, never really go back to sleep. On the bright side, I got my prescription for the seasickness patch, entirely so I can play Kingdom Hearts 1.5 when it arrives today. The game is a remastering of KH1, with a couple of subsidiary games along with it. I got SO SEASICK when playing it the first time it came out, enough that I drove myself into migraine several times, but I loved it. And finished it with a long playing session when I got back from my first cruise in 2006 and the effects of the patch were still in my system. So, um, yay?

What console/platform is KH 1.5 on? I've been missing video games and thinking about getting out my Kingdom Hearts.

PS3.

I'm looking forward to it being in HD. :D It's got KH1 Final Mix (the remastered version), Re:Chain of Memories, and 358/2 Days. The first two are playable, the third is a nonplayable theatre version. I've got it for the DS, although never got around to playing it, so I'll have to decide if I want to play it or watch it. :)

I got the limited edition, but I'm not sure what I"ll get with that.

I never got around to buying a PS3. Is it worth it?

We mostly use it as our media box. It's got a Blu-ray player in it (why Toby finally got the PS3), and Netflix and Amazon Prime apps, and Toby has it hooked up to our server, where he puts the movies he rips from the DVDs/Blu-rays we buy, and we access them with the PS3. I don't remember offhand which games Toby plays on it, since he's got an Xbox and a Wii as well, and they all sort of blend into one another. :)

i wish i had a ps3 so i could play that game... but then, i've also played chain of memories in its original form on the gba, and i still haven't finished re:chain of memories on my ps2. i also played 358/2 days on my ds... as much as i would love to see all the shiny hd remastered graphics, i guess it's still a good thing i don't own a ps3, because i think i would still end up shelling out the money, despite not really having much disposable income right now. dang you, square-enix, for owning my soul.

Does the card-based system ever make any SENSE? I got Re:CoM for the PS2 years ago and gave up shortly into it after getting confused as hell about the gameplay.

it does! i personally preferred it in the 2d version on the gba, but it does eventually click. trust me, i was extremely skeptical of the card battle system, and i contemplated it for a long time before deciding to give the game a try. of course, there's a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun. :)
