La isla del Sora

You may or may not remember that Sora really, really hates the white fuzzy carpet in my office. Repeated exposure to the carpet in conjunction with catnip has sufficed to make him somewhat calmer about it, to the point where he will walk across it if there is petting and scritching or if there is catnip to be had on the other side of it, but he will place his paws slowly and gingerly, as if it might attack him at any moment, and if there is no immediate reason to cross the carpet, he will play THE CARPET IS LAVA and make his way to the other side fo the room around the edges or by stepping on various objects.

So I came up with a solution for him. Witness...

Here he is checking out his island for the very first time.




And sitting on it, with his new Elvis sneer, which has come about because the tooth on that side was removed. After he eats or grooms, his upper lip on that side gets caught on his lower lip, and he has to fuss with it to get it to sit properly.




After he's got it sitting properly.




And, eventually, his island was found wanting and deserted in favor of a nearby cookbook. Ah well. Perhaps I should make him a personalized fabric mat.
