Ha!

Bought the House Regency during lunch today. His Wilson analogue is his butler, who is far, far more familiar with his master than he ought to be, even given the anachronisms present in most Regencies.

I cannot possibly be the only person reading this! YOU NEED TO READ IT, TOO. ALL OF YOU.

People are reading it, they're just not me. Hopefully my library hold will come through soonest!

According to Yuki Kaori's sidebar, 50% of all Victorian butlers were gay. So if that's also true of Regency butlers, maybe he's familiar because he's actually a "butler," by which I mean boyfriend.

I have read this Eloisa James book! It is delightful. I will try and search around my computer to see what other ridiculous Regency romances I can recommend in a similar vein!
