I love reading The Dreamstress, who is a historical costumer. Every week she does a Rate the Dress, in which she posts an outfit and the viewers rate it. Today's is a doozy. The one we are to rate is the natty eighteenth-century gentleman on the far right, in the leopard-print breeches and waistcoat.

I cannot decide if the woman to the left of him is leaning back to better appreciate his awesome glory, or in the hopes that it isn't catching.

I...kind of *love* his breeches and vest, and think that by wearing them on Portrait Day, he has *absolutely* won a bet with that young lady! The look from her is, "I don't believe you wore that today!...I'll pay up later, blast you!" He is just smugging out, and, well, the dog is just Shocked, Shocked, I tell you!^^
