Mello, refined pencils, ready for me to either render it in pencil or to ink it and ... whatever. I think I'll at least do it in pencil first to have a nice thing for the AnimeFest art show.

Looks great! (I keep reading his collar (I think because it is light here instead of dark as in the previous versions) as a flip of his hair under his neck, though.) Especially love what you've done with his bangs in this iteration.

Yeah, the collar's going to be dark in the final version: I was leaving it that way so I'd see the detail when I did it. :) My friend Binky pointed out that his bangs often made those little triangles over his eyes, which I realized stood in for his eyebrows.

Heh - that's just pencil on top of a blue-printed base that was dropped out in Photoshop. And then shrunk to half its size and the contrast kicked up, so it's not really anything like the original. XD
