So at ConDFW, I periodically sent volunteers around the con with cameras to grab photos of things and people that we could use for PR, whether print or on the web.

One of the photographers came back with a photo that normally I'd love to use, as it shows a side of the con that people unfamiliar with conventions think about: it's a family behind a dealer's table showing off the husband's grandfather's self-published novels. The family is adorable, and one of the girls is even playing a Nintendo DS.

There's just one wee, slight, minor problem...






Yeah. Not what we'd like associated with our con. Ah, well.

I found the book on Amazon--apparently there are evil vampires who are annoyed at the Nazis for cutting off their food supply. So the big twist is that everyone's evil.
