EVE Online battle this weekend
I'd vaguely heard about the huge space battle that blew up on the MMORPG EVE Online this weekend, but didn't now anything else until I read this article about it on tor.com (short version: two large factions were grumbling at each other and preparing to tussle a bit, one guy accidentally sent his giant ship alone into enemy territory and all hell broke loose, eventually involving over 3200 players as the combatants kept calling for reinforcements).
I've also listened to a part of the video record of the battle that's linked in the article, and it's all sort of fascinating although I can't really explain my feelings and interest in it any deeper than that.
