(no subject)

I have no idea if I'll be dropping off the LJ/DW grid (or at least being a bit more scarce) for a few months as it seems every time I announcet hat I end up posting forty-odd messages a day for the duration. (and it's not like I can do the following projects at work, while the Update page is, technically, accessible while I'm at work...)

Anyway, through October I've got that online art class I mentioned some time back, and it's going to take a lot of my time, and right when that ends I've got an editorial assignment for Digital Manga Guild--I'm editing a novel and the translator plans on being finished about the end of October. My deadline will be the end of December, so I shall be frantically writing.

And then there's the ConDFW stuff I'm doing. So, yeah, I'm Not Allowed to take on any more projects until the end of the year and you are allowed, nay, encouraged! to comment and say "Didn't you say you weren't going to take on any more projects?!" (and then bear the weight of my rationalizations, admittedly) if I post and say I'm taking on a new project.

Congratulations!

Thanks!

The pay, or at least the advance, is tiny, but they say their novels have traditionally been consistent sellers so they expect these to all earn out the advance and pay royalties, so there's that, and I'm mostly doing it to get something new onto my resume. XD So we'll see! I may hate this with a passion and never do it again! Or I may adore it! Either way, I think this is in the first wave of novels they're doing. (And, alas, I'm pretty sure it's with teh gay pr0n so it's yet another project my mom can't tell my relatives about! Although I may be surprised and it might be just romance.)

Are you allowed to say what the company and title is?

As they sent it out in their newsletter and I have not been asked *not* to, I expect so: It’s Not Love (恋じゃない) by Siira Gou, published by Taiyoh Tosho.

Cool! I will snag a copy when it's out.

I'm reading their punctuation guidelines now, and I find it funny that one of their samples to show correct comma usage is "He moved his hips in short, quick thrusts."

Has anyone ever done something like The Transitive Vampire, but The Yaoi Guide to Grammar?

If not, someone should!
