I have to say that the Duchess of Devonshire's Gossip Guide to the 18th Century wasn't the blog where I expected to run across Assassin's Creed III news.

And why does the game starring what looks like a kickass woman of color have to be on a device that our household does not own, instead of one of the approximately one billion devices we do? I shall remain in the dark as to how her tricorn stays on during her Leaps of Faith.*

I would totally guess hatpins, especially since the ones used at the time are quite capable of wounding with great effect.

It looks like a pretty cool character design. It's a shame that it's not on the main Sony system.

I cherish hope that it will one day be released for other systems, although I acknowledge it's probably a faint hope. I play Toby's old DS maybe once a year*: I certainly can't justify splashing out on a new handheld system just for one game.

* Every time a new Professor Layton comes out, actually.

I have not read the novel this is the cover for.

You could get a lot of assasinating done with a proper hatpin (as well as holding your hat in place).

Years ago I was in a Vampire: THe Masquerade RPG and in one segment, when we were roleplaying characters meeting in the 19th century, I did a lot of damage with a hatpin!

I LOVE AVELINE OMG. Her box art is awesome! It's just as badass as the guys! I love it. I was already getting a PS Vita for Persona 4 Golden, which is good because otherwise I'd be buying one JUST for ACIII:Liberation.

I may have to see if anyone we know in town is getting a Vita and will let me borrow it. I'd buy them a copy of Liberation if I could play it. :)
