If you want a sneak peek of wedding photos, our photographer posted a couple on her blog. (Also on her FB page, linked from there, which I shared onto my FB page.)
I take it the umbrella shot was from your big number?
That's an excellent, adorable photo. The red umbrellas are fantastic and I love the way they frame you. I like it far more than the more traditional shot. And it seems more in character for the subjects.
:) I bought the umbrellas a couple of days before as we'd been having lots of rain, and figured the red would pop in photos, which it did. We took some traditional everyone-stand-and-smile shots but most of them are me and Toby messing about in the Gardens.
Aww, Toby really looks good in long trousers ^^ and those colours work for you amazingly, not to mention the setting. I love the tiny touches like the umbrellas picking up the theme of red. For some reason I thought the embroidery on your gown would be more red and visible, too. Sort of like the border that runs across the top of the gown.
The one with the umbrellas is very sweet. I may even have said "aww!". The first one makes me want to find a way to steal the entire garden and transport it home. So much greenery.
You should have a WMF wok strainer as well - at least Amazon.com said they had sent it out. I did add a dedication even though it uses my real life name, of course.
Great ^^ - I only remembered I wanted to contribute to your trousseau (when will I ever have the opportunity to type that word again?) that the wedding was coming up datewise when you were practically already back from the ceremony, etc. and on the way to the cruise, so I wasn't sure what the post office would do with the strainer.
Aww, lovely! Your outfit is so well put together, and the photographer has a gift. I think you're going to treasure these!
I wish the photographer for my wedding had been a little more creative... actually, your pictures make me want to get someone to take some nice shots of me and the man, since we have one of those round-number anniversaries this year. :)
Thank you! I decided (and Toby went along with me!) that the one thing I wanted to splash out on was the photographer, partly because I don't photograph well unless the photographer knows what they're doing and gets the light right and partly because I hate the typical lined-up-in-a-row shots that predominate. We did take some of those, of course, but the reception shots (which I haven't seen yet!) are mostly candids, and the bride-and-groom shots around the Gardens are more like this.
(I recommend looking at the photogs advertising on offbeatbride.com - most of them do more than just weddings!)

And thanks! (The gown has a big wedge of the burgundy in back that's not visible in these photos.)

(Also, if you don't have a present that you realize is from me by now, let me know and I'll make sure you get it, lol.)
