Was going to make a cake, but that plan got sidelined what I accidentally smashed one of our bottles of A1 steak sauce.
It's not even like we *use* A1 steak sauce, which is why we had two bottles--once in a blue moon when we run across a recipe that calls for a bit if A1 steak sauce we don't bother to go look in the cupboard because, after all, it's not like we actually use A1 steak sauce, so why would we have any?
Well, at least we now have one less bottle of A1 steak sauce.

This makes it sound like your cake recipe called for A1 sauce...

Nah, it's that our sauces, vinegars, oils, etc. are all stored on the same shelf, so when I reached in to get the baking spray to grease/flour the pans, I hit a bottle of olive oil, which sloooowly tipped over and hit something else, which knocked into the A1 steak sauce bottle -- we'd moved both of them to the front of the shelf so we wouldn't forget we owned them AGAIN and buy a third -- which then toppled off onto the floor and smashed. Cleaning it up took long enough that I realized I'd be up past 11 to finish the cake and decided to postpone until later.
The pantry still smells faintly of A1 sauce. :/
