The writer mentions that she was presented with a pink Blackberry by the clerk when she went to upgrade her phone, and I sort of want someone to do that to me so I can fix them with a withering glare.
The problem is that I have a pink iPhone cover. :/ (I swear it's pink in an ironic way! and it makes it easier to spot in my black purse!)
I want a purple wallet for the same basic reason! It's so hard to find my black wallet in a black laptop bag. I pick purple because of L5R--I don't know if it's true, but there were persistent rumors when I started playing that the Unicorn Clan had been assigned the color purple because they were trying to market it at horse-crazy girls. Granted, the Unicorn are one of the three military clans, but...oh well, at least it wasn't orange, like the Lion.
My wallet is bright red for that reason! I got it from Big Skinny because I needed a slimline wallet to fit into this bag (hey, my mother bought the bag for me!), and they only had black and red in it.
I actually rather like pink accessories, although not clothing, which is annoying because of the cultural implications. :/

This is what drives me nuts about the whole thing. There should not be this assumption that everything for women should be pink, but women shouldn't have to feel like they can't have pink if they want to be taken seriously! And men should be free to like pink! And other colors! I love colors and will pick any color over black, for most things, if there's an option. Hence my dark pink Sony Reader. :P (which Sony insists on calling "Red"; um, no.)
badnoodles will be surprised to hear that, since she prefers Imperial Stouts, which are about as far from pink/rose/floral hue as possible without being Loch Dhu whiskey.
Yawn. You would think that these manufacturers would learn from the experiences of tech salespeople. I mainly see pink phones, for example, in the hands of 13-year-olds, not grown women with independent income to spend.
(It also reminds me of those uninspiring romance- and fashion-oriented computer games that are aimed at girls.)
The writer mentions being steered to a pink Blackberry by a Best Buy sales clerk. XD Mind you, I've met a lot of Best Buy sales clerks who have no idea what they're selling and how to sell it.

I have to admit I'm a bit curious as to what it tastes like. I guess it goes on my list of Weird Booze, next to the Crystal Skull Vodka.
