MY BUTT HURTS (and legs, and arms, and...)
Nov. 4th, 2022 10:41 amSession with the personal trainer last night: fifty (50) squats holding a 10-pound (edit: no, TWENTY) kettlebell. 5 reps at a time, swapping the kettlebell off to
myrialux and let me tell you the last ones were very slow and rather shallower than the first.
Then this plank/shoulder tap/pushup thing where you hold a plank (elevated, on a bench, because I am not strong enough to do all this on the floor yet), then tap one shoulder with the opposite hand, then tap the other shoulder with its opposite hand, then do a (baby) pushup. AUGH. 3 sets of 3-5 reps. I think I did 5, 5, 4.
Then ending up with suitcase deadlifts--deadlifts without a barbell, using dumbbells--with each dumbbell weighing 32.5 pounds so YES that was deadlifting 65 pounds in total, 6-8 reps, 3 sets. I managed 8-8-6 because my grip strength was failing on the last set and I didn't want to drop the dumbbells on my feet.
So, yes, MY EVERYTHING HURTS.
