Does anyone here know of blogging software that runs on a Windows server? Preferably one that won't force me to learn how to install PHP and MySQL?* Blogging is a hot topic in the library world and I've gotten aksed about its applicability here off and on for the past year, and someone FINALLY came up with an application for the library webpage that would actually work with blogging software. It's got to offer an RSS feed of some sort - I want to be able to scrape headlines off of it to post on the front page, with links to the entry itself.

So:

Windows server
I want to host all the content ourselves, not have it on another server
RSS feed
And oh yeah - while I could probably convince the library to pick up a site license for an inexpensive one, FREE is always much better. Which means, from a cursory inspection, Movable Type it out, because the free version is for personal use only.

* I'll do it if I have to. I just don't want to.

And now I'm heading to lunch, so i anyone answers in the next hour, I won't reply. XD

AAAARGH

I'm working in Photoshop CS2 here at work, and it seems that at least one thing I use a lot has changed, and I can't figure out where to do it in this version. In all the PS versions I've worked with up to and including the first CS, you could select everything on a layer by ctrl-clicking on that layer in the Layers palette. In this version, it now seems that doing that just acts like the shift-click and makes it active along with whatever layer you're on. That doesn't seem too clear, anyway, but all it does is highlight that layer in the Layers palette and does not give me the marching-ants thing around the elements I want to select.

This is different from Select All, which selects the entire canvas and only collapses to the individual elements if you do something like nudge them a pixel in one direction or another. This adds an extra step to what should be a simple stroke or fill or something. ARG.

I can't figure out from the help any way to select all the elements. They can't possibly have removed this entirely, can they?

I've just opened the Panda Buddha forums, with updated submission requirements for the anthology, and a few soon-to-be FAQs. Drop by, read, sign up, and ask questions if you got 'em.

This is an attempt to keep all the information about the anthology in one place, rather than spread out through two LJs and my DA page.

...the latest Shonen Jump is pimping Death Note and has printed the first big chapter, from the opening up to the first, partially-hidden glimpse of L.

And in other news, my cat, the mighty hunter, stalked and killed a spider, then ate a leg and decided it was icky. I hope she will continue to stalk and kill spiders, crickets, and other unwelcome invaders so I don't have to.
