telophase: (manji - not happy)
I broke down and changed the resolution on my monitor from 1280x1024 to 1024x768. My monitor is slowly going bad and it was getting really hard to read text at the larger size. I've been eyeing a 19" flatscreen monitor for $400 at a local store - I'll probably end up breaking down and buying it sometime after the first of the month. *sigh* If anyone knows of any good sales or rebates that can beat that - it's gotta be at least 19" - then pass the word on over here.

And my head hurts. Woo. *uses Manji spike-through-head icon in honor of that*

For the wannabe manga writers and artists on my friendslist, there's an interview with the writer of Death Note that's being translated over on [livejournal.com profile] death_note, where she (?) discusses her writing methods, how she blocks out the story, and how she collaborates with the artist.

WARNING: Heavy spoilers all the way up to chapter 59 of the manga. DO NOT read the interview if you haven't read that far. It's part of a several-page Death Note extra that was printed in the magazine it's running in. First part of the interview partway down the page here. Conclusion of the interview here.
