Well, there's action going on behind the friends filter, so if you're not there, you're missing out.

Mind you, it's not like it's salacious or anything[1], it's more a matter of not giving up any potential first-publication rights by posting it publicly.

In other news I'm wearing a black shirt with a white longjohns shirt under it and, as is my wont, I have rolled the sleeves up. This means I keep looking down, seeing black sleeves with white rolled-up cuffs, and flashing on Duo Maxwell.

This post has been brought to you for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

[1] Yet.

Every so often, usually after a marathon session of reading the unending, pitch-dark, sulfer-scented morass that is fandom_wank, I get coldly cynical about the state of the Intarweb and the denizens thereof.

And then I run across something like [livejournal.com profile] gayatheistspy, a new community dedicated to fannishness about a nonexistent Renaissance series called Marlowe: Gay Atheist Spy, and suddenly all is right with the world.

Check the userinfo for links to the posts that spawned the idea for the show. *resists urge to make manga for it*

Good advice I found through a link in someone else's journal today:

Make a private entry with your name and emergency contact info and backdate it to be the first entry in your journal, and leave a note in your userinfo indicating you've done so. Only you can see it, and the LJ admins can get to it in case of dire emergency.
