You can call me Juror Number One, at least for the moment.
Not on a jury yet. Went in for jury duty this morning, sat through all the rigamarole they have for exemptions*, and then found out that the court that was scheduled for this afternoon was canceled. So I got assigned to one that meets Tuesday for jury selection.
I was the first person called and given a court assignment, which was good as that means I didn't have to sit there for a long stretch of time, listening hard for the inevitable mispronunciation of my name, but could get it over with and go fill out a questionnaire instead, and then leave as soon as that was done.
Arranged with my boss to take the rest of the day off, as I had crappy sleep last night and a migraine is threatening because of that. :P
* The judge informed us that if anyone has flu-like symptoms or stomach problems, come up and get a postponement for today, because nobody wants their germs. Whereupon I think half the audience immediately developed symptoms, and got in line.
