Heh

Librarian @ Large, being a typical blog, gets a lot of spam comments (although not a LOT), but the spammers are getting more wily. There's been a couple that almost pass muster as real questions.

Got this one today:
I'm planning on getting my real estate agents license in the next few weeks. I've heard that Century 21 and some other companies have their own courses. Is it better to attend their course or just a regular local real estate school. Also what companies are good for new agents.

Any advice you can give is appreciated! Thanks!

Oh and I'll be getting my license in Tenessee.
And this one came in a couple of days ago:
I’m planning to visit Amsterdam, Netherlands next week. I would like to know whether the Marriot Hotel (located between Leidseplein and Vondelpark) or the Renaissance Hotel (located between Central Station and Dam Square) would be more convenient given the winter weather.

Which hotel location is better for tourist to see the major attractions in the wintertime? Any other travel tips for exploring Amsterdam in December? Thank you.
I tipped to the fact they were spammers because the URLs they give (that I see in the notifications) end in .ru, which I automatically treat as suspicious, but Akismet, which I'm using to deal with the spam on the blog, caught both of them. :D

There is actually some sentiment amongst the L@L bloggers that they're asking questions similar to what people ask librarians, and so may be held in reserve to be used (edited a bit, and without the spam links) when someone can't think of a question to answer.
nijibug: Balsa & Chagum at "kaze ni notte ukabi" (What are you writing?)

That made me chuckle :D

People ask librarians what hotel to stay in?

I still think it would/will be funny to answer them. I adored the idea of doing it in rhyme, by the way. Or haikus?
