Any one of you out there take and pass the Digital Manga Guild typesetter test, or know of someone non-flaky who did? Need a translator and editor? We need a typesetter! :)
Awesome. :) If we haven't found a typesetter that we know (for internet values of "know") by then, we'll be looking at you saying "Pleeeeeese, please, please, please!"
Sorry for the semi-random questioning, but from your comments you sound as if you might be in the know - Has there been word from DMP that that the test has been closed for the first round of processing? (Hopefully I'm not failing basic reading comprehension, since I did look around on the DMG front page and in the main forum.)
I signed up for an account, and just accessed the translator test, but despite giving me a deadline to submit it by, there doesn't seem to be any uploading functions on the page where it says to come back to - I'm just wondering whether it's because the test is in fact closed, or if I'm having browser problems.
Anyway! I'll probably take the typesetting and editor test too (triple threat!) if I ever figure out where the upload function is ^^;, and would be looking for a group...?
They didn't officially announce that the first round was closed, but since they've been talking about the second round in the forums, it's clear that it is. Results from the first round mostly got sent out on the 31st. starlightmuse is the official person answering questions in the forum.
Thank you; that confirms my general impressions from nosing around on the forum. A bit puzzling that they still allow access to the tests if they're not allowing any more submissions.
