Not going to the grocery store after all ... I opened the door to check the road conditions and watched a white truck gently slide down the hill backwards, tires spinning.

We've got plenty of food; we're just low on vegetables. If there was an apocalypse and we couldn't leave for a while, we might get scurvy but we'd be well-fed otherwise. XD

I keep intending to, but then my inner lolcat goes "Nooooooooooo it are too cold!" and any plans of going outside to take pics are then quashed.

Yeah, watched a neighbor spend over an hour shoveling ice and sticking something under the wheels of his SUV to get it back up the driveway, which has maybe a ten degree incline (similar to my driveway).

OTOH, the mail carrier is out there in her little jeep (or whatever it is they drive). She slid a little coming up from the cul-de-sac (it slopes down toward the lake), but so far, so good.

Wondering if we'll have to go to work tomorrow. My driveway is like glass.

We saw a large truck making a valiant attempt to inch up our road, to deliver Oroweat bread to the nearby grocery store. I think he made it in the end!

Wondering the same thing about tomorrow - it's not going to get above freezing for a few days, so I wonder how the roads are going to be.
