Yay! More people whom other people actually read need to link to this. I was part of the thread which spawned this idea and Jane has found imitators in the Netherlands and Poland with the idea ^^ (they asked her). I also added most of the resources links on the resources (for non drm ebooks) page, if you know any more, add some!
