OH MY! Commercial for Sharp featuring George Takei. [livejournal.com profile] myrialux and I saw it a couple of days ago and have been saying "OH MY" to each other ever since.

Takei does do that so well, doesn't he?

I prefer this version (http://www.regretsy.com/2010/03/24/oh-my/).

No, I hadn't seen it. Hee! (I remember reading Starfarers some time ago, but have forgotten most of it. XD)

Well, it's available and they even have kindle-possible editions. But I loved the idea of George Takei playing that character.

I find myself taken with what are probably highly inappropriate giggles every time that ad comes on. Takei is just so over the top! It's WONDERFUL.

He does the absolutely canonical OH MY!. Nobody can do it better.

He has got to have one of the sexiest voices on the planet. Even when he's just saying "Oh my." *melts*

I'm amused that the commercial has a disclaimer that he's simply an actor. Because too many people might think the former Sulu currently spends his days improving TV color technology.

Years and years ago I watched one of those programs on prophecies and how it meant that our civilization was about to fall OH NOEZ. They did a segment on Nostradamus, and as I watched an actor dressed in 15th century clothing walk across a set depicting a 15th century house, made of stone and with straw on the floor, sit down at a desk and pick up a feather pen and a piece of parchment, then turn and gaze deeply into a crystal ball ... a little banner unfurled across one corner of the screen, which read "DRAMATIZATION."

You don't say!
