Yo!

[personal profile] rachelmanija works with the Virginia Avenue Project, which mentors Los Angeles teens and kids in theatre and the other arts, tutors them in academics, and partners with them to create and perform original plays.

100% of participating children graduate from high school. 90% go on to college. 85% are the first person in their family to go. Correction! From the Project: "The stats on the auction are outdated - new stats: 100% high school, 95% college and 98% first in the family..."

The centerpiece of their program is in danger, and will not take place this year unless they raise $15,000. We know there's been a recent fandom auction, and lots of you have been asked to give money or volunteered items and services for other causes recently, but if you've got the time and ability, please consider either bidding on or offering items and services at [livejournal.com profile] savetheproject. Bidding is now open, and will close at the end of the month. Details on the comm info page.

And please boost the signal about this! Thank you!

(Now I have to consider what to offer. I doubt I'm up for offering a commission at the moment, but certainly prints...)

ETA: I'm also one of the mods - if the LJ layout doesn't work on your browser, it's my fault and please let me know. :)
