If I had more energy, or at least some really desperate need to procrastinate, I could go through recent chapters of Death Note to see if Obata is using the same hand reference book that came with the marker book today for Near.

Or I could just use these as a basis for fanart. XD

Sorry about the image quality - I scanned it at a low resolution and it came out like that. I am TOO LAZY to bother to re-scan.

Man, I wish I could find reference books like these. If only B&N would stop stocking up on those horribly drawn 'How to Draw Manga' books and stock more anatomy reference books.

I usually go to Akadot and various other bookstores that sell Japanese art books and drool, but this time I splurged because I desperately need reference for hands. Whee!

I sympathize. Hands are *hard*.

That, and feet.

Aaahhh, I so want this book now... It's so hard to find decent references of hands online...

$36 but OH MY GOD I can tell it's going to be worth every penny.

Akadot Retail (http://www.akadotretail.com/shop/shop_showbook.php?id=4837302904). It says they ship within 36 hours, but I ordered in the morning on Friday, got the message that they'd shipped it Friday afternoon, and got the book yesterday. :)
