Hey science peeps!

Science merit badges!

I think I technically qualify for the "have used a dental drill and I’ve never been a dentist" badge thanks to my volunteer work cleaning fossils a few years back. :D Going through and working out all of the ones I qualify for will have to wait until later, as I am, belive it or not, doig Real Work right now. :D (I think I see at least three that [livejournal.com profile] badnoodles is eligible for at first glance, though.)

...it's rather embarrassing how many of those I qualify for. D:

I'm making dentures and I'm not a dentist...

Sharp, pointy, VAMPIRE dentures.

25, actually. My favorite is the obvious "inordinately fond of invertebrates", but semen collection is a close second.

Bwah! Those are amusing. I think the only ones I qualify for are 'rock licker' (geology class field trip!) and the first tier of 'set fire to stuff' and 'froze stuff'.

My teacher always felt that my high school chemistry class was the most destructive she'd ever taught. We melted clamps that weren't supposed to melt and accidentally started fires and then found out that the school hadn't actually filled the fire extinguisher. I also once burnt some of my fingerprint right off my index finger when my teacher had us making glass stirrers for ourselves. I always felt like we deserved some kind of badge.

Wow! We never did anything of the sort. My dad told me that he once caused an explosion when he added water to hydrochloric acid instead of the other way around, but that it was the teacher's fault as he'd told my dad the wrong order. :D
