Still working on it, although didn't get much done today.

I refined the mouth and nose a little bit and lightened up the philtrum (that's the groove in the upper lip below the nose), then moved the dark area where his left eye is going to go closer to the actual spot where his eye's going to be so he doesn't look quite as wonky as before.

The whole thing is shaping up quite nicely. Its fun to see how much your realism technique differs from my own (but I work *very* strangely).

I tend to block in bold colours, and then...add...errr...spots? to it of different colours. I use a lot of different shades for each area (particularly skin) and then blend them all together, following the direction of the area being coloured.
I don't know why I started doing it that way, it just seemed easier at the time and then I stuck to it ^_^
