And a few still shots.
TWIN LASERS CHARGING

Laser...ENHANCE!

I will NEVER NOT BE TIRED of this sort of picture of these two.
I should point out, maybe, that the stain is entirely Nefer's fault, as she threw up on it two years ago and that's as far as I've been able to get it out. It doesn't look as bad when it's not illuminated by a flash.

"Come here, Grasshopper. Let me initiate you into the Way of the Laundry-Sitting."

AAAGGGHHH! GIANT-HEADED CAT!!!! When Nefer sucked her gut in and got into the box, I flipped my camera to macro and stuck it in the opening to get this shot. Would have been nicer if it weren't overexposed and were in focus, but I love the weird bobblehead effect the macro setting gives. XD

Yes, frame it. ;) Hopefully the snorgling-to-spatting ratio will ... uh ... go more in favor of snorgling. Too tired to say it right in a mathy way. Day has sucked, and blown.

I thought of you earlier this evening - I'm reading the manga Oishinbo (see previous LJ entry), and in one chapter a young woman who is the fiance of a very old potter calls him "[name]-kun", which made me think of your research, and then wonder what it's supposed to tell me about their relationship.

I'm keeping an eye out for Oishinbo. You know, it is driving me NUTS that I can't find an adequate sociolinguistic treatment of these titles of address. There must be one, right? On the one hand, I guess it's kind of old hat and people might not be rehashing it, but on the other hand, I think usages have changed--I suspect women use -kun more now than they used to. I just can't find anything on it, and I feel like it would be important. BLAH. Maybe I can screw up the courage to ask my advisor.

ETA: If you see some databases here (http://lib.tcu.edu/www/online/TitleList.asp) that you don't have access to that you think might be good, I'm willing to do searches in them for you. If I'm at the Ref desk, I get to count it in the stats as a non-TCU visitor question. XD
