Yup. For the most part, they just quote press releases, or accept whatever anyone tells them instead of asking questions.

Someone was decrying the death of traditional reporting the other day, saying that fact-checkers would be a thing of the past, and I was like, "hahahah because so many media outlets use fact-checkers. FUNNY."
