Well, at least I got something useful out of today - I can sell this print at A-Kon. TEH SEKRIT PROJEKT is slightly stalled because IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE. Will finish that up this weekend. THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION.
Heehee. The Fullmetal Alchemist anime is airing on Adult Swim on Saturday nights ... er *was* airing - they've temporarily halted to catch up with the dubs, I think, but the first 3 DVDs are out. And the first volume of the manga was recently published.
Fullmetal Alchemist is my favorite anime series. Watch it on DVD, and instead of selecting "subtitle" from the menu, hit the subtitle button on your remote, and then you will get the non-dumbed-down subtitles. The Japanese voice cast is great, and you wouldn't want to miss them. Here's an excellent, non-spoilery overview:
Hey, the watch chain thing was already pointed out, BEE-YATCH!! I was working from the manga! I HAD TO GUESS!!!!!! *falls over in a froth*
PS. I got Officiamal Permission to go to Internet Librarian in Monterey, so I wil fer sure be at Yaoi-Con in SF - IL ends on that Wednesday, so I'll drive the rental car up to SF on Thursday morning, and be at the con hotel from Thursday on Sunday. I may turn the car in Friday morning and use it to do sightseeing-type things on Thursday, since the con doesn't start til Friday.
He could try Amoeba Records in Hollywood, or several places I could recommend in West LA-- actually, I could probably recommend an anime supplier anywhere in LA.
If you ever come here, I would love to take you out and/or show you the city.
Thank you! I would love to visit Scotland. Hodder & Stoughton asked if I would be willing to tour, which I really really hope means they might send me on tour. I told Brian to please concentrate on countries which are great tourist destinations, like all the glamourous cities of Europe, when deciding where to sell the next set of foreign rights.
He is staying in Santa Monica. The convention is in the center of LA--is there a big convention center (a MASSIVELY big convention center?) It's there.

I didn't like the first volume of the manga as much, but it may improve.
PS. Lovely print-- I'd buy it. But his watch chain needs to be silver.

E3 is THE big games industry convention/show/trade fair. Tim laughed at me when I said WorldCon was big. (These guys have money).
