More steampunk...

Getting a little closer to having vaguely steampunk elements show up in almost every one.

The story narrates a journey between a greenhouse and a competition, during which a dissident and a young man with unruly hair that hides his intense eyes encounter a royal bastard with a thigh holster, as well as dials and shiny gadgets.

I totally want to read this. I'm not sure whether the dissident or the young man with unruly hair is the one who's entering his prize Venus flytrap into the Very Important flower show, but I'm fairly sure the royal bastard wants to stop them, and I want to know why.

Yeah, I got whammed by some fairly sophisticated spambots last week or so, and got tired of having to delete their comments. Found out that LJ had the Captcha thing and enabled it, rather than going to comment moderation. :)

I didn't know you could even get spammed on LJ. How did it happen? Do you even know?

The bots were making LJs and putting one entry in them filled with random text gathered from another site and a bunch of links to spammy Viagra sites and the link. And then they'd find older posts, grab some keywords from it, and make a comment with a snippet of text from a post elsewhere on the internet that related to those keywords. It was good enough, in some cases, that I didn't realize it was a spambot and I got into an argument with one at one point.

You *argued* with them?! Those are some incredible bots - and that's kind of creepy.

I haven't gotten a Dewey Decimal thingie yet! This is kinda fun, it's like kids pretending a cardboard box is a space ship XD
