Thank you! It really all came together once I got the idea to imitate Alphonse Mucha and have them in four separate panels. XD

I don't know the characters, but that's a real piece of work, in the best possible sense. :) Love all the whiplash curves! And the type and ornaments are just the right finishing touches.

That's beautiful! I love the style it's done in, and I did a little flail-y dance at seeing D. ^^

XD He got his snake because he has non-swirly hair and fairly straight-line clothes so it took me a long time to work out how to make him match. XD

The only character I know is Yuuko, but it doesn't matter--it's an incredibly gorgeous piece. I hope you talk about the making-of in depth at some point, if you are so inclined!

Oh, and the lizard said, "I love those pretty pictures." Which is about as detailed as you're going to get from her, but hey. =^)

Oh, I am! This grew out of a general discussion we'd been having about all the spooky shop owners in manga/manhwa. Originally, I'd prompted with them having tea together, but when telophase went to draw it, they had their own idea about how they should be depicted!

And seeing it in progress (she sent me updates, starting with the "inks") was the icing on the cake!

Ohohoho, that's lovely. I am in love with the art nouveau, and your stylizations are really neat. Nice palette, nice lines [especially on Kou's hair <3]. What does the French say along the bottoms of the pictures?

The Merchants of Desire: Hopes Wants Needs Dreams, although "les envies" is technically more "wishes" than "wants." XD (I may switch the text under Yuuko's and Mr Yang's names, but I'm not fully decided on that yet)

I'm so glad I met

chomiji at the auction (during a bit of a bidding war) and have begun clicking to new places, discovering all sorts of new shiny things. Lovely piece!

Hopefully you can find it - the company that was translating it went under, but it got picked up by another company and volume 5 should be out in August, according to their website. I've hardly ever seen them in stores, even when the original company was in existence, and usually rely on Amazon.com to feed my need. :D
